What Are The Ingredients For Karen's Jambalaya Recipe?The ingredients for Karen's Jambalaya are: 3 cups brown rice (uncooked)6 cups water 1 stick butter 2 cups diced mix of onions, bellpeppers, celery, and mushrooms 1 lb lean ground beef 1 - 6 oz raw chicken breast - cubed small 12 oz raw small shrimp 3 Aidells Chicken Sausage - chopped 2 - 6oz cans tomato paste 4 cups chicken broth 1 Tbls Lousiana Spice 1 Tblsp Old Bay Seasoning 1 Tbsp garlic powder Chipotle seasoning to taste (1 tsp = mild) Boil 3 cups rice in 6 cups water till water is absorbed (rice will not be completely cooked) In a separate large pot: melt butter, addground beef and chopped veggies. When beef begins to brown, move to sides of pan and add chicken to center of pan, cook 2-3 minutes. Move chicken to size of pan and add shrimp, cook till barely pink. Add chicken broth, chicken sausage, and all spices to pan. Bring to low simmer. Turn off heat and add tomato paste and cooked rice to pan and mix all together thoroughly. Pour into 1 extra large baking dish OR divide into small foil pans for freezing.
