This is from my Betty Crocker Wedding Edition cook book and I make it at least once a month. This can also be Mexican meat loaf by omitting sage, and substituting 2/3 c milk and 1/3 c chunky salsa for the 1 c milk. Add 1/2 c reduced fat Colby-Jack cheese and one 4 oz can of Ortega chiles. Omit ketchuo/bbq sauce on top.

1 pound ground turkey
1 c milk 1%
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp dried sage leaves
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder OR 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 large egg
1/2 c dry bread crumbs, plain OR 3 slices bread torn in small pieces
1/4 c chopped onion
ketchup and bbq with which to top loaf


How Do I Make Healthier Meat Loaf?

Here is how you make Healthier Meat Loaf:

Heat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients except for ketchup and bbq sauce. Spread into a loaf pan, or make individual servings (perfect for little kids!) by filling in a cupcake tin. Spread ketchup/bbq sauce blend on top, if desired. Bake for 1 hr to 1 hr 15 minutes, or until meat thermometer reads 165 and juices run clear. Drain meat loaf.
