Saute onion in oil until soft and translucent. Put aside to cool slightly. In large bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs and cooked onions. Mix by hand until combined. Form into small balls. Bake at 350 dgrees for 15 min on cooling rack placed on top of baking sheet so the excess fat drips away from the meatballs. Serve with your favorite sauce.
