3 cups of lentil beans (soak for 15 minutes first, then scoop out 3 cups)
12 oz. cooked pasta (DaVinci Ditalini or any other small shaped pasta)
6 cups tomato sauce
2 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil


How Do I Make Lentils and Pasta?

Here is how you make Lentils and Pasta:

Place lentils in a bowl and cover with water for 15 minutes. After lentils have soaked for 10 minutes, pour 2 tbsp. Olive Oil into large sauce pan or dutch oven on medium heat. Add garlic powder to warm oil. When garlic powder just starts to brown, add 2 cups of the tomato sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer while adding lentils. After all lentils are add to warm tomato sauce, add water to cover lentils, then add the remaining 4 cups of tomato sauce. Add garlic sauce and salt and pepper again, to taste. If you don't mind the oil, add another tablespoon. This will change the nutritional info (calories, fat, etc.) but not by much. Cover pot with about a 1/2" gap to let steam escape. Cook 15-20 minutes or until the lentils are to your preferred texture.
