Brown beef in 3-quart oven-safe pan, and onions if using; add corn, bouillon granules, pepper and 2 cups water and simmer, covered for 10 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup water and stir in, cooking for 2 minutes. When thick, cover with your favorite mashed potato recipe and sprinkle generously with paprika bake @ 350 for 20-25 minutes.
