1 small onion
1 cup frozen corn

How Do I Make Shephard's Pie?

Here is how you make Shephard's Pie:

Mashed Potato Layer: Peel and dice potatoes. Cook in boiling water until fork-tender. Whip potatoes with electric mixer; mix until moderately smooth. Add 4 Tbsp butter, cream cheese. and sour cream. Salt and pepper, to taste. Whip until mixed. Adjust thickness by adding milk.Vegetables: In large pan, saute onions, corn and carrots in olive oil until onions are soft. Remove from heat, move to a bowl, set aside.Meat: Brown ground beef in the same pan the vegetable were in. Remove from heat, drain. Add in vegetables. Mix thoroughly.Gravy: Melt 4 Tbsp butter in small pan. Whisk in ? cup flour. Slowly add in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.Pour gravy onto meat/vegetable mixture. Stir until combined.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Spray a casserole dish. Pour meat mixture into casserole. Layer the mashed potatoes over the top.
