What Are The Ingredients For Festive Filo Pie Recipe?The ingredients for Festive Filo Pie are: 1 Chopped Onion2 crushed garlic cloves (omit or increase as preferred) 3 celery sticks 1lb Mushrooms (I use portabello) 1 cooking apple, sliced (any apple of choice will do) 2 table spoons fresh parsley 1 tea spoon carraway seeds 4oz cream cheese (Philadelphia or other) 2 table spoons dry sherry 2 beaten eggs (or eggbeaters) 8-10 sheets of Filo pastry How Do I Make Festive Filo Pie?Here is how you make Festive Filo Pie: Fry onion for 5 mins, add garlic and celery & cook for further 5 mins.Add mushrooms, apple, parsely & carraway seeds, stirring frequently.Add sherry and seasoning & cook for 5 mins. Set mixture aside to cool.Mix together cream cheese and eggs (to a smooth consistency). Drain mushroom mixture and stir into cheese mixture.Grease a shallow 2.5 pint dish, line with 3-4 sheets of filo sprayed with oil.Spoon in filling and cover with remaining pastry (remembering to spray oil between layers). Cut a cross through pie to help layers rise. Cook for 40 -45 mins at 200 degrees C / 400 FI always cover the pie with aluminum foil half way through to prevent it getting too brown.
