1 small fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced

1/4 cup cold water
2 tsp. cornstarch

Sprinkle Chops with salt and pepper. In a large skillet cated with cooking spray cook chops until brown, turning once. Transfer chops to a 4 qt. slow cooker. Sprinkle apples, onions and raisins over chops.In a bowl stir together orange juice, broth, jalapeno pepper, garlic, fresh ginger, and apple pie spice. Pour over pork chops. Cover; cook on low heat setting for 6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.Transfer chops and fruit to platter; keep warm. For sauce, measure juices; skim fat from juices. If necessary, add chicken broth to juices to make 1 cup. Place in saucepan. Combine the cold water and cornstarch in a cup; stir into juices in pan. Cook and stir intil thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Serve chops and fruit with Orange Almond Couscous. Pass sauceOrange Almond Couscous: In a saucepan bring 1 cup water and 1/4 tsp. salt to boiling. Remove from heat. Stir in 2/3 cup quick-cooking couscous and 1 tsp. orange peel. Cover; let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in 2 TBSP. slivered almonds.Serving Size:?4 Servings
