Cut 6 - 8 slits in pork roast, approximately 1 inch in length; be careful not to cut too deep, make cuts about 1/2" deep. Stuff slits with garlic cloves or about a tsp. of chopped garlic (I like garlic, lessen the amount if you're not a fan). The combine salt, cloves, thyme, and sage.
