3 tablespoons of olive oil
1 large onion
2 small carrots
4 stalks of celery
5 gloves of garlic
16 mushrooms (approximate amount)
1 pound of lean ground beef
1/4 pound of a sweet/spicy Italian sausage
3 cans of diced tomato's
1 can tomato paste ~ 6oz
6 oz of red wine
Salt & Pepper
1 to 2 pack of spaghetti seasoning packet



How Do I Make Ragu Ragu?

Here is how you make Ragu Ragu:

A rugu is a very finely chopped spaghetti, so pull out the food processor!Chop the onion, carrot & celery into pieces and place in the food processor. Pulse until the mix is minced.In a huge pan warm up the olive oilAdd the minced mixture to the pan and begin to sautee.Lightly salt and pepper this as it starts cooking.Place the mushrooms into the food processor and mince them too!Add the minced mushrooms to pan once the the first batch has been simmering for 10 minutes.Allow the mushrooms sautee, shrinking like they normally do.Once they are good and going add the meat and allow it to brown with the vegetables. (if there is too much grease drain this mixture in a colander and return it to pan)Add the 3 cans of diced tomatoAdd the can of tomato pasteAdd the wineAdd the seasoning packets (start with 1, taste, add more if you want)Let this simmer...as long or short as you want.I put this in for 10 servings...there could be less or more, depending on who is eating...it does not take much of this sauce to make a good dish.
