3 cups Pacific Free Range Organic Chicken Broth
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup slivered almonds
1 Tbsp. butter (divided into 1 tsp & 3 tsps)
1/2 cup wild rice
1/2 cup brown rice
1 Tbsp. Lawry's seasoned salt
1/8 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. celery salt


How Do I Make Almond Wild Rice?

Here is how you make Almond Wild Rice:

1. In a small saucepan, bring 1/2 cup broth to a boil. Place dried cranberries in a bowl and add the hot broth. Let sit.2. In the meantime, In a larger saucepan, bring the rest of the broth (2 1/2 cups) to a boil. Add the rices with 3 tsps. of butter and spices. Bring back to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 60 minutes. Check on rice closer to end time, add water as needed, until wild rice is tender,but still a little crunch.3. In the meantime, in a small skillet, melt the remaining butter and add the slivered almonds. Toast lightly. Remove from heat and using a slotted spoon, remove to a paper towel to drain.4.
