Pick and wash beans thoroughly. Put in pot and cover with water. Chop onion and slice sausage into small slices. Add onion and sausage to pot. Add 2 packets of onion soup mix. Stir ingredients. Make sure everything is covered with water in pot. Turn burner on med/high until the mixture comes to a boil. Then turn heat down and simmer for at least 3 -4 hours stirring occaisonally.
