8 oz. box Red Beans and Rice
1 lb. ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green peppers
1.5 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
1 tbsp. Mrs. Dash Tomato Basil Garlic Salt Free
2 cup stewed tomatoes no salt
2 cup corn (fresh or frozen)
Crushed Corn Chips (optional)


How Do I Make Red Beans and Rice Golosh?

Here is how you make Red Beans and Rice Golosh:

Brown ground beef with onion and green peppers. Remove from pan and put in separate bowl. Dump grease off. Use same skillet ( I prefer my large cast iron skillet) to cook red beans and rice according to box instructions. Then add corn,(which my corn is frozen from the fall harvest) then burger, and tomatoes (My tomatoes are home canned which has onions and green pepper all together). After all is added cook for 10 to 15 min on a slow simmer. Just before serving add cheddar cheese.Serving Size: serves 4 - 6Number of Servings: 6Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user SKIPETTE.
