How Do I Make Granny's Dirty Rice with Beef?

Here is how you make Granny's Dirty Rice with Beef:

Saute onions til clear and add garlic and bay leaf. Stir until well blended. Add beef and cook until brown. Drain. Add rice, water and broth. Mix well. Bring to a boil. Stir again and lower heat and simmer until rice is tender. Remove bay leaves before serving. Add bell pepper, green onion or other seasonings to your taste. Salt and pepper to taste.
