Cook rice according to package directions. Grease a 13 x 9 baking dish, and spread half the rice. In a bowl mix, ham, raisins and half a cup of cheese, spread over rice. Top with half of butter. Spread remaining rice on top, sprinkle rest of cheese and butter, and pour the milk all over.
