The ingredients for All-In-One Rice are:

1 small onion carefully chopped
1 tablespoon of olive oil
2 cups of rice (you can use white, whole wheat - your choice!)
5 cups of waters
4 fresh sausages or if you using the canned ones that are not so long you can use 6. I've used both pork sausages and chicken sausages and they're both great
1 cup of mushrooms (slices)
2 tablespoons of pimentos (any colour will do) - cut the pimento into thin long slices and then chopped into 2 cm pieces
3 large scrambled eggs
cheese slices (depending on the size of the container that you're using, pick the number of slices to cover the top of it. Make sure to choose a container that can stand heat)
Salt
Pepper


How Do I Make All-In-One Rice?

Here is how you make All-In-One Rice:

1 - Chop the onion and set it in a pan. Add the olive oil and let it fry for a little while (the onion doesn't need to get brown). On separate pan, or if you have a boiler, bring the water to a boil.2 - Add the rice and stir until you can see the pan through each grain3 - Add the boiling water, the salt and, if you like it, pepper4 - Now it's the time to add the mushrooms, the sausages and the pimentos.5 - Slightly lower the heat and let it cook for about 15min (or until you see that you're ALMOST out of water)6 - Scramble the eggs in a different pan and add them to the almost dry mix7 - Get the rice into the container that can go to the oven (set it to medium heat)8 - Cover the mix with the cheese slices and put it in the oven9 - Check it every 1-2 min until the cheese slightly melts or until you're happy with its consistency.Enjoy it!And please let me know if you liked itNumber of Servings: 8Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user TWISTEDFOOL.
