4 Cloves Garlic

How Do I Make Simple Fried Rice Assorted Meats?

Here is how you make Simple Fried Rice Assorted Meats:

Prep:Begin to cook rice, and steam Brocolli.Cut meats into bite size pieces, toss in a bag with teriyaki sauce for 20 minutes.Cut Veggies and Mushrooms into 1/4" pieces.Crush one garlic clove, mince the others.Cooking:While waiting on the rice to fully cook and dry, toss your meat into a frying pan. Fully cook while browning all sides. Reserve to the side.Using the same frying pan, gently cook the mushrooms and carrot with 1 minced clove of garlic. You may cook the onions here as well, but if you do do not add until after two minutes. The goal here is not to overcook the veggies and leave them still crisp. (3-4 minutes total) Reserve to the side. When the Brocolli is cooked but still firm, remove them from the steamer. Let them sit a few minutes to cool, and then cut them into 1/4" pieces.Add half of the cup of Oil to a large frying pan or Wok, set the pan to Medium High heat. After a minute or so your oil should be hot. Flavor the oil with a crushed clove of garlic, removing the garlic after it has browned (roughly 30 seconds).Add your dried rice to the pan. Do not worry about flavor yet we are going for texture here. Swirl the oil around the pan to make sure the rice is absorbing the oil more evenly. Let the rice sit in the pan and rotate it every two minutes. This will get you a crispy fried rice. If you are less interested in crisp, decrease the time between stirring. Repeat this process for the better part of 20 minutes adding oil as needed.Near the end you will push your rice away from the center of the pan with your spatula to "make a hole". Crack 2 eggs direct into the center of the pan. The eggs should begin to fry immediately, after a few seconds, you will run your spatula through the eggs forcing the egg yolk to cook to the bottom while you slice it. Continue slicing it, pushing the yolk and white into strands as you incorporate it into the rice. Repeat with the remaining eggs.Incorporate the rest of the ingredient at this point. Stirring every 30 seconds or so. We are trying to incorporate the flavor of the soy and garlic here, while heating the filling in the rice. After 5 minutes, all the ingredients will be hot, and the dish ready to serve. It may seem like a lot, but you will go through it.Serving Size: Makes 8 1 cup servings.Number of Servings: 8Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user LECHEDESLATTE.
