Baby Carrots, raw, 1 medium
Garlic, 1 clove
Celery, raw, 1 stalk, large, sliced
Mushrooms, fresh, 8 medium (baby Bellas preferred), quartered
Canned Tomatoes, .5 can
Red Wine, .25 cup
Tomato Paste, 1 tbsp
Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce, 1 tbsp


How Do I Make Baby Pot Roast?

Here is how you make Baby Pot Roast:

Mix salt, pepper and flour in plastic bag, then shake beef in flour. Dust off excess flour and brown on all sides in canola oil in skillet, about 3 minutes. Spray 3 1/2 quart crockpot with cooking spray and place browned shank in bottom.Cook onions, carrots and garlic in skillet for about 1 minute and place on top of beef in crock. Top with remaining ingredients and stir to mix.Cover and cook on low for 9-11 hours or on high for 5-6 hours. During the last 45 minutes of cooking, check the consistency. If the juices are too thin, remove meat and vegetables with a slotted spoon and keep warm. Cook remaining juices in crockpot on high with cover off until reduced to your desired thickness.Serve shanks and vegetables covered with sauce.
