Brown in a pot with the chopped garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Add about half a cup of the red wine, and simmer about 5 minutes. Remove meat from pot, leaving the liquid behind.Add the tomatoes to the pot, followed by the herbs and half the salt. Let simmer for 20 minutes, then remove from heat and use an immersion blender to puree the sauce.
