2 Cups water

1 Cup Tempeh cut into cubes

In rice cooker (or or large pot with a steamer basket)place rice in the bottom, and add 4 cups water.Place steamer basket over rice and place tempeh cubes and carrots in.Close rice cooker/cover pot and cook until rice has absorbed the liquid.While Rice and tempeh are cooking, in another sauce pot add the olive oil and saute shallots.add button mushrooms and sautee for about 3-4 mins.Add flour and cook for about 2 mins and all shallots and mushrooms are coated with the flour.Add water and dried shitake mushrooms. Be sure to scrap up all the bits of flour on the bottom of the pot! Cook over low/medium heat until thick.
