2 teaspoons Tabasco Garlic Pepper Sauce

How Do I Make Chunky Spaghetti Sauce--Microwave!?

Here is how you make Chunky Spaghetti Sauce--Microwave!:

Place ground turkey and pepper blend in a large microwave safe dish. Break turkey up into small chunks. If the turkey is frozen, put it in the bowl as a slab. Microwave covered on high for 4 minutes. Break up pieces again, drain out some liquid and cook another 3 minutes. Continue to cook/drain in 1-2 minute sessions until the turkey is COMPLETELY done (no pink remains.Add frozen spinach, half the water, and Mrs. Dash. Cook covered for two minutes. Stir to break up the spinach. Add tomato sauce and stir well. Add remaining water. If you want it thicker leave some out, thinner add more.Cook covered for 3 minutes and stir. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary. Cook another 2 minutes.Remove sauce from microwave and add Tabasco (or leave it out if you don't want it).All of these cooking times can be reduced if your turkey is already thawed or already cooked frozen. I usually cook it into crumbles and then freeze it. You can make this really thick and it's almost like a stew. Change around the seasonings and additions and make it more like chili. Just make sure, as with any ground meat, you cook it COMPLETELY. It should reach 160 degrees F. And don't skip the step of cooking in small increments of time and stirring. Otherwise you'll have a bunch of rubber balls and that's not tasty. It's crucial to cook ground meat in small time spurts.Serving Size: Makes 6 one-cup servingsNumber of Servings: 6Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user SCRAPLYN.
