1 large yellow onion chopped
2 pounds jumbo shrimp cooked
1 35 ounce can crushed tomatoes
1 12 ounce can diced tomatoes
1 12 ounce can garbanzo beans
2 small cans sliced mushrooms
1 medium green bell pepper 1/2 inch diced
8 fresh basil leaves sliced
2 tbsp parsley fresh or dried
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp salt


How Do I Make Captain Jack Shrimp?

Here is how you make Captain Jack Shrimp:

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in large pot. Saute' garlic and onion until garlic is golden and onion is translucsent. Add green pepper, mushrooms, garbanzo beans, tomatoes, basil, parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and tomatoes. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer another 20 minutes. The Shrimp will initially get rubbery, but after a while it breaks down and gets real tender and yummy. If it seems too rubbery, just let it simmer a little longer.
