2 lbs extra lean ground beef
1 cup Mozarella
.5 cup Provalone
1 yellow onion
4 cloves of garlic
1.5 cups Panko Bread Crumbs (any would work here, I just like the size and texture of Panko)
4 Eggs
2 tsp Cayene pepper
1 tbsp Black Pepper
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp basil
1 Bay leaf
1 tbsp seasoned salt
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
3 small cans tomato sauce


How Do I Make Spicy Cheesy Italian Meatballs?

Here is how you make Spicy Cheesy Italian Meatballs:

Shred the cheeses and add to a large mixing bowl. Dice onions and garlic and add to bowl. Add ground beef and bread crumbs. Lightly beat eggs and add to bowl. Add Cayene and Black pepper, garlic and onion powders, seasoned salt, and Italian seasonings. Combine ingredients well with hands and shape into large meatballs 3-4 inches in size. Lightly brown all sides of the meatballs in a large skillet about 10 to 12 minutes each (I do half at a time so there's room to roll them onto different sides). Add tomato sauce, basil, and bay leaf to the meatballs and let them simmer covered for about 20 minutes. 1 meatball is about 1/5 of a lb so I usually only serve one per person.
