1/2c basalmic vinegar (or red wine vinegar)
1Tbsp chili powder
1Tbsp brown sugar
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp rosemary
1/2 tsp salt (or garlic salt)
2 Tbsp olive oil


How Do I Make Flank Steak with Red Onions?

Here is how you make Flank Steak with Red Onions:

Lay steak flat in a large dish w/sides. Prick steak several times w/fork. Spread onion over steak. In med bowl, combine vinegar, chili powder, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, paprika, rosemary, salt & oil. Whisk until well blended. Pour over steak & onions. Flip steak several times to coat it well. Marinate, refrigerated, at least 30 min. Preheat oven broiler. Remove steak from marinade; place on brolier pan. Cook first side 5-6 min. Revove from oven; flip. Top w/marinade & onions. Return to broiler 6-8 min or until onions are browned & steak is cooked to desired doneness. Transfer to cutting board; slice against grain. Serve topped w/any remaining marinade & onions in broiler pan.*This steak is meant to be cooked med-rare to med (internal temp of 145-160).
