The ingredients for Steam Bag Stroganoff are:

1/2 lb sirloin steak cut into slices
1/4 c sour cream
2 Tbls low fat cottage cheese
1/3 c beef broth
1/2 c chopped green onions
1/2 c fresh mushrooms chopped
4 cloves of garlic, minced (if you really like garlic!)
1 c noodles
1 Tbls Parmesan shredded
salt and pepper to taste.


How Do I Make Steam Bag Stroganoff?

Here is how you make Steam Bag Stroganoff:

Blend garlic, cottage cheese, broth and all but one tablespoon of sour cream in blender and set aside.Lightly brown meat in pan.Add noodles to bag, top with 1/3 of meat, then layer mushrooms, 1/3 of meat, onions and top with meat. Pour mixture over everything. Seal bag and microwave on medium high for 5 to 5 1/2 minutes. Unless you have a crappy old microwave like mine and then you only have the high setting, but it has low wattage so it takes about 8 minutes to get the noodles cooked. :)Last but not least after everything is cooked, add the last of the sour cream and the parmesan cheese, stir and serve.Serves 2Number of Servings: 2.25Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user ETHERIALAURA.
