3 oz of ground turkey BREAST
1 tsp. of Sunflower oil (this is an excellent oil for saute and healthy to boot)
1 c. fresh spinach
a leaf or two of Kale or Chard, chopped (mmm, nutrients)
a leaf of beet greens, fresh, chopped (mmm, nutrients)
3 cloves of fresh garlic
Seasoning such as Herbal seasoning salt (Herbamare original or spicy is what I use). or Simply Organic All Purpose Seasoning.


How Do I Make Goosefoot Turkey Burger?

Here is how you make Goosefoot Turkey Burger:

Chop the garlic and set aside. Make a 1/4-1/2" thick burger pattie of the ground turkey breast. Put 1 tsp of sunflower oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Put the turkey burger in the skillet atop the oil and brown on both sides, approximately 3-4 minutes each side. Then turn down the heat to medium and quickly, scoot the burger to the side and put 1/2 of the garlic in the skillet and brown ever so lightly. Put the greens atop the garlic, stir just slightly to mix the garlic with the greens -- then leave the greens alone to wither a bit for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Then, place the turkey burger atop the greens. Put the rest of the garlic atop the burger. Turn off the heat. Cover for 2-3 minutes more, remove the cover and, with the spatula, transfer the turkey burger and its bed of greens onto a plate. You can season the burger at any stage but I like to wait until right before it is covered for that last 2-3 minutes. For the most healthy benefits from the garlic, make sure it is chopped and gets to set a few minutes. This recipe does not expose the garlic or greens to heat for very long, thus preserving more of the nutritional value.
