4-28 oz cans of diced tomatoes
1 can dark red kidney beans
1 can light red kidney beans
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 small jar chopped garlic

1 Tbsp cayenne powder for hot chili...adjust according to taste
3 tsp of your favorite hot pepper sauce (we use Cholula, the one with garlic)
2 Tbsp leaf oregano

Here is how you make Heather's Crock Pot Turkey Chili:

Dump all 4 cans of tomatoes into the crock pot. Then rinse and drain the beans and add them into the crock pot. Saute the turkey until barely browned, drain and add that to the crock pot. Saute the onions in the olive oil, and when they are almost done, add the garlic and saute with the onions. When the garlic is really fragrant, add one glass of red wine to the pan to de-glaze it and then add all that to the crock pot. Add the rest of the ingredients, tasting after about 45 minutes to an hour to see how you want to adjust the spices. Chili is ready to eat after about 2-3 hours!
