Here is how you make Loreen's Crockpot Turkey Chili:

Makes 8 servings, about 1.5 cups eachPre-soak beans according to package directions (at least one hour but overnight is better). Drain (but reserve bean water) and add beans to crockpot.Dice one whole red onion and saute in butter with chopped garlic and chili peppers in a large pan. Add ground turkey and cook through. Add chili powder and continue to saute until fragrant. (At this point you can deglaze the pan with reserved bean water or plain water or vegetable stock - otherwise you are leaving a lot of flavour in the pan).Transfer to crockpot add mix in two cans of no salt added tomatoes.
