1 can Bush's Best lower sodium pinto beans
Garlic Powder--1 Tbsp or to taste
Williams Chili Seasoning--1 Tbsp or to taste
Other spices as needed--including a dash of hot sauce if you like.


How Do I Make Low Fat, Lower Sodium Turkey Chili?

Here is how you make Low Fat, Lower Sodium Turkey Chili:

Makes approximately 5 1 cup servings.Saute ground turkey in a non-stick pan--until it changes to a white color or is "done." While sauteing, add chili seasoning, garlic powder/fresh garlic, and other spices. Stir frequently to avoid sticking and keep the consistency like other ground meats. When meat and spices are cooked through, add 1 large can tomatoes and stir well. If using whole tomatoes, they can be chopped to be a smaller size--or other diced or crushed tomatoes can be used--but may have less flavor. When tomatoes and meat are well mixed, add additional spice to taste--mixture should be somewhat soupy. Add the can of lower sodium beans and stir well. Heat through and simmer until chili is slightly thickened--about 10 more minutes. Can be served topped with 1 oz cheddar cheese, and .5 ounce of tortilla chips.
