1 each large green, red and yellow pepper
2 cups mushrooms
1 large onion (Vidalia if possible)
2 large cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can Heinz brown beans in tomato sauce
1 can Heinz brown beans in Maple
1 pound lean ground turkey
1 large can chopped tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
1/4 cup ketchup (or more, to taste)
Frank's Hot Sauce to taste (we use lots)
Cayenne pepper to taste
4 tablespoons chili powder (we use lots!)

Here is how you make Turkey Chili - Lean with Veggies:

For slow cooker: saute the onion and ground turkey. Throw everything in your slow cooker and let it cook - can cook for up to 8 hours. For stove top: saute the onion until clear, then add the mushrooms. Saute another 5 minutes, add all remaining veggies and ground turkey and saute until the meat is thoroughly cooked, stirring constantly. Add all remaining ingredients and if necessary, top up with water.
