1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
2 onions, finely chopped
1 cup each chopped celery, carrot, red pepper, mushrooms
1 1/2 tsp. each dried basil, oregano and thyme leaves
1 tsp. each salt & pepper
1 to 1 1/2 lb. lean ground turkey
1/3 cup tomato paste
1 large can crushed or pureed tomatoes
1 cup milk, 1% or higher fat content


How Do I Make Turkey Vegetable Bolognese Sauce?

Here is how you make Turkey Vegetable Bolognese Sauce:

Heat oil in dutch oven set over medium heat. Add garlic, onions, celery, carrot, red pepper and mushrooms. Saute for 15 minutes or until tender. Stir in basil, oregano, thyme, salt (if not on sodium restricted diet) and pepper. Crumble in meat and saute for 5 minutes. Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes and milk. Reduce heat to medium or low and simmer for 45 minutes or until thickened. Prepare spaghetti according to package directions. Spoon sauce over hot spaghetti.
