2 cloves garlic, pressed or diced
1 med onion, diced
3-4 carrots, sliced
1 head of broccoli, pealed and chopped
3-4 stalks celery, sliced
1 can waterchestnuts
about 3 T Tamari (soy sauce) to taste

Here is how you make Vegetable Stirfry:

In a large skillet, add oil (this can also be done in water instead of oil, just be sure to add more water as it evaporates so your food doesn't stick).Brown garlic in oil.Add onions and let sauté for just a few minutes.Add carrots and broccoli and let cook a few minutes. I toss in a little tamari as I'm cooking to taste, I don't measure it out, just add to taste.Add celery and water chestnuts, more tamari as needed.Cover and let simmer until vegetables are tender.Serve over brown rice. This makes 4 large servings or several smaller servings.My husband who isn't vegetarian will eat skinless chicken breast with this. I've had it with vegetarian chicken and it's very good and adds lots of protein that way. Tips: This is good with many other vegetables; I love bok choy in it and have tried bamboo stalks too. Mushrooms would be tasty for mushroom lovers. You're adding the vegetables in an order so that they will all be done at the same time, so just stagger the adding of your vegetables to suit your tastes. Make it your own!
