1 medium Red Onion Diced
1 tbsp Unsalted Butter

1/4 tsp Celery Seed

Here is how you make Scalloped Potatoes (whole Wheat rue):

Peel and dice Potatoes and onion. Cover potatoes with water while cooking rue. Melt butter, whisk in flour until blended then stir in 1 cup milk until smooth. Cook over medium heat until thick like gravy then add black pepper. Drain potatoes and place half in greased baking dish. Sprinkle with half the diced onion and all the basil, celery seed, minced garlic and red pepper. Pour rue over all. Now Add remaining potatoes and then remaining onion.
