Here is how you make Italian Style Beans:

Put the beans, potato, tomato, garlic and herb bundle into a pot, add enough cold water to cover.Boil on medium for about 40 -50 minutes, or until everything is soft.Remove the potato, tomato and garlic, toss the herb bundle. Squeeze the garlic out of its skin and mash it with the tomato and potato.Drain the liquid from the beans and dress with the oil, vinegar and butter.
