2 small heads bibb lettuce separated into leaves

arrange onion slices in a salad bowl. In a small bowl, stir together lemon juice and salt and ground peppercorns to taste until mixed well. Add oil and stir vigorously until well blended. Pour over onions, toss gently, and let stand for a few minutes.Bring a saucepan for salted water to boil. add the shrimp and boil until pink and curl slightly, 2-3 minutes. Drain, place under cold running water and drain again. peel and devein and add to the salad bowl. add the beans and parsley and toss gently.arrange the lettuce leaves on a serving platter.
