2 cups low sodium chicken broth ( or veggie)
juice from 1/2 lemon
3 Tbsp cilantro chopped.

Heat oil in large pot, add onions and carrots cook until soft about 10 minutes, add the garlic ,cumin , ginger coriander ,turmeric and cinnamon cook stirring often ,until mixture is fragrant 1 - 2 minutes ,add the tomatoes andcook while stirring, 5 minutes then add the lentils and garbanzos together with the broth bring to a simmer on medium low heat. Cook until lentils are tender 15 -20 minutes. Remove from heat ,stir in the lemon juice and cilantro .Serve .Serving Size:?makes 4 servings @ 1.5 cups each.
