4 tbs ghee or oil
9 oz can cashew
2 tsp cumin seeds
1 hot chili, cut up
1 tbs powdered ginger
3.5 c water
1 package frozen peas
2 tsp turmeric
1tsp garam masala
1/2 c chopped dates
1 tsp salt
3 tbs Italian seasoning


How Do I Make Spicy Rice?

Here is how you make Spicy Rice:

Heat the ghee or oil, and toss in cumin, chili and ginger. fry until cumin turns brown, then add rice and stirfry for a few minutes. pour in water, turmeric, garam masala, dates, salt and Italian seasoning. Turn up the heat to high til a full boil, then cover and simmer on low. After about half the liquid is absorbed, quickly open lid and toss in frozen peas. cook til ALL liquid is absorbed. then turn off heat, let sit for 5 minutes.
