1 medium Red onion
1 cup Fresh mushrooms
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp Ground black pepper
2 Tbsp Olive oil


How Do I Make Chicken Scampi?

Here is how you make Chicken Scampi:

***Step One*** White SauceMelt 1 Tbsp butter in a sauce pan over medium low heat. Once melted, slowly add in your flour slowly; stiring constantly to prevent large lumps. Cook for 2 minutes to cook out the raw flavor. Add milk and cook until thick; stiring constantly. When the sauce reaches a consistancy of a medium thick gravy, remove from heat.***Step Two*** ScampiMelt 3 Tbsp butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add in garlic, ground pepper and Italian Seasoning and cook for 3 minutes stiring occasionally. Your garlic should NOT start to brown. Add in your chicken broth and the wine. reduce the heat to medium low and allow to cook for 15 min.***Step Three*** Should be boiling while step four is being completedBoil your linguine over medium high heat for 11 minutes then drain and place in a large serving bowl***Step Four*** Combining IngredientsHeat olive oil in a large pan. Add in your chicken and saute until almost done. Add your onion and mushrooms and finish cooking the chicken until done and onions are translucent.Add 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup warm white sauce to your scampi. Stir the sauce and scampi until well incorporated and thickens until the consistancy of a thin gravy.
