Ricotta Cheese, part skim milk, 1 cup
Romano Cheese, 1 oz
Salt, 1 tsp
Pepper, black, 1 tsp
Garlic powder, 1 tsp


How Do I Make Home Made Cavatelli/Gnocchi?

Here is how you make Home Made Cavatelli/Gnocchi:

Makes approx four 1 cup servingsIn a large bowl Using a wooden spoon, mix until well blendedricotta Cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepperAdd flour and cheese to mixture until you get a dough like blend. Using your clean hands, form dough into a large lump. Break lump into about 10 sections. Roll 1 section into a long 1inch thick string shaped pieces. Cut each piece with a butter knife into aprox 10-15 1 inch macaroni. Continue with the rest of the dough sections. Store macaroni on a sheet of wax paper, keeping them separated. Once finish with all the dough, place in the refrigerator. Boil a pot of water, add olive oil and salt.Cook macaroni approximately 3-5 minutes or until they float to the top. Strain macaroni, do not rinse with water, and serve with favorite italian gravy (sauce). Enjoy with a nice piece of Italian bread.
