Here is how you make Lasagna - Almost Homemade - Completely Delicious:

Combine tomotoes, sauce and all spices into a stock/stew pot. Allow to simmer 10 minutes. Brown ground chuck and add to sauce, simmering 15 more minutes. Boil lasagna noodles until completely done at the same time.VERY IMPORTANT! Using a fine strainer, strain all the liquid from the pasta sauce back into the stock pot.Add liquid to the bottom of a deep casserole dish, enough to cover lightly. Add one layer of noodles. Add 1/4 cup Ricotta. Add meat sauce as desired, cover with 1/4 mozzarella, then sprinkle parmesean/romano blend. Repeat layers 3 more times. Drizzle liquid sauce over top layer, cover with tinfoil and bake for 30 minutes at 425. Cook for 5 more uncovered. Let rest for 5 minutes, serve topped with remaining meat/liquid sauce and enjoy!
