Green Peppers (bell peppers), 1.5 cup, chopped
Onions, raw, 1.5 cup, chopped
Black Olives, 1 jumbo
Del Monte Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes, 1.2 cup
Tomateo Sauce 1 cup
Pasta, Lasagna Noodles, 16 oz
Cottage Cheese, 1% Milkfat, 16 oz
Cheese, Kraft Mexican Style Taco Cheese, 2 cup
Colby and Monterey Jack Cheese shredded, 2 cup
Italian spice to taste
Garlic and parsley spice to taste
Black pepper to taste


How Do I Make Mama's Lasagna?

Here is how you make Mama's Lasagna:

Brown hamburger add in spices, onion, and green pepper until beef is done. While beef mixture is browning get another pot and fill with water, bring water to a boil for lasagna noodles (add salt to water if desired). Drain grease from meat. Put in black olives chopped. While both meat and noodles are cooking get a pan that is about 1.5 inches to 2 inches deep and coat the bottom completely with tomatoes sauce, then pour the remainder into meat mixture. When noodles are done but not cooked to long (mushy). Layer noodles on the bottom over the tomatoes sauce. Then put on top of noodles half of the meat mixture. Next noodles, then cottage cheese and half of the Mexican cheese. Then more noodles, now the rest of the meat mixture and cover with foil. Cook on 385 for about 30 minutes. When done put on rest of cheese and stick back in the oven for 10 minute (with no foil this time). Lasagna is best served if you let it cool a bit before you cut into it. Bone-apatite!
