* Set large pot of salted water to boil. In large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy, 5-7 minutes. Transfer bacon to a paper towel to drain. Leave drippings in the skillet.* Add shallots to skillet, cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally until they begin to soften, about 1-2 minutes. Add peas and half and half. Season with salt & pepper. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 2-4 minutes.* Cook pasta in boiling water until al dente, Drain & reserve 1/2 c of the pasta water & return pasta to pot.* Pour sauce over pasta, toss to combine, adding some reserved water a little at a time to coat to your desired consistency.
