Here is how you make Orzo Pasta with Sausage, Tomato, and Basil:

Place 8 to 10 cups of water in a large pot and boil over high heat. Add the orzo and cook according to package directions, usually about 8 or 9 minutes. Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Remove the sausage from the casings and brown it in the skillet, breaking it up with a wooden spoon or spatula. Lower the heat to medium and add the garlic, onion, carrot and pepper and stir. Cook for about 5 minutes until carrots and other vegetables are just tender. Add broth and canned tomatoes and cook for a couple of minutes. Drain the orzo and pour it into the skillet. Stir and cook for a minute or two until flavors are combined.
