I made this for my family for dinner one night, and everyone absolutely loved it! It's based off of Rachel Ray's recipe which I have revised to make it healthier and more flavorful! I found that the crusts weren't large enough to hold everything that the recipe called for, so the calorie count is probably much lower.

How Do I Make Puttanesca Pizza?

Here is how you make Puttanesca Pizza:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. In a small skillet over medium heat, saute garlic and crushed red pepper flakes in olive oil until the garlic begins to sizzle. Add anchovy fillets, and use the back of a wooden spoon to help melt the anchovies into the oil. Add tomatoes, and stir to coat evenly with flavored oil. Remove from heat. Place the pizza crust on a pizza pan. Sprinkle evenly with tomato mixture, spreading it to the edges of the pizza shell. Add the parsley, capers, and olives in the same manner. Run your fingers through the cheese in the sack to fluff it up. Cover the pie with a light layer of the cheese right out to the edges. Some of the colors of the toppings should still peek through; too much cheese will result in a soggy pie. Place pie in oven directly on center rack or on perforated pizza pan. Cook the pie at least 8 minutes before checking on it and no more than 12 minutes altogether. The cheese should begin to brown and the edges should be crisp when you begnin to remove the pizza from the oven. Serve with a green salad for a complete meal.
