Cook Italian sausage, chopped onion, red pepper, green pepper on medium heat in large skillet. When thoroughly cooked, add basil, garlic, salt, parsley, red pepper flakes, oregano, and chopped fennel seed to sausage, combine all and cook about 2 minutes more before adding the crushed tomatoes and brown sugar.
