What Are The Ingredients For Tomato Sauce w/ Hidden Veggies Recipe?The ingredients for Tomato Sauce w/ Hidden Veggies are: 1/4 cup Chopped Onion1 zucchini (medium sized) 1 carrot 4-5 muchrooms 2 cans (14.5 oz) stewed tomatoes 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce 2 Tbs Italian Seasoning 2 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp onion powder 1 Tbs chopped garlic 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil Salt and Pepper to taste How Do I Make Tomato Sauce w/ Hidden Veggies?Here is how you make Tomato Sauce w/ Hidden Veggies: Use a food processor to very finely chop the zucchini, carrot and mushrooms. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute the onion, garlic, zucchini, carrots and mushrooms until carrots are tender. Add all of the remaining ingredients to the saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for one hour. Makes approximately 12 1/2-cup servings. Serve over spaghetti squash or whole wheat pasta. Also makes a great pizza sauce. Enjoy!---------------You could eat this after the hour and it tastes good. Or make the sauce the night before or the morning before you are going to eat it, take it off the heat after simmering for an hour and the let it sit in the refrigerator until dinner.
