What Are The Ingredients For Spaghetti Bolognese Recipe? The ingredients for Spaghetti Bolognese are: -Olive Oil, 6 tbsp-Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) -Carrots, raw, 2 medium -Celery, raw, 2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) -Garlic, 3 clove -Tomato Paste, 1 can (6 oz) -Ground dark meat Turkey, 1/2 lb -Ground dark meat Chicken, 1/2 lb -salt -pepper -cinnamon (1-2 tbsp.) -Red Wine, 2 glass (approx.) -Whole Wheat Spaghetti, 12 oz. -Flat leaf italian parsley -parmigiano-reggiano How Do I Make Spaghetti Bolognese? Here is how you make Spaghetti Bolognese: 6 ServingsPuree onions, carrots, celery and garlic in food processor. Heat a skillet to medium high and add the olive oil.Add puree to skillet and let brown 10-15 min. (the 'brown' part is really important as it will add depth and flavor to the food)Season ground meat with salt, pepper and 1/2 cinnamon and add to skillet. Let brown 10-15 min. (this is usually made with ground beef, my compromise is to use the dark meat of chicken and turkey. I tried it with the white meat, but there was not enough fat and by the time I finished it was mush)Add the remaining cinnamon.Add the tomato paste to the skillet and stir. Let brown (10 min.)Stir in the red wine. Reduce heat to a simmer. Allow wine to reduce by half. (15-20 min.)Add 1.5-2 cups of water. Allow water to reduce by half. Repeat 2-4 times. Each time will intensify the flavor.Cook the noodles in salted water. When they are 2 min. from being done add the noodles and 2 ladles full of pasta water to the meat sauce in the skillet. If it looks like it is going to be too full remove some of the meat sauce before adding the noodles.Noodles will finish cooking while the water cooks down. Add back any of the meat sauce you set aside.Add bolognese to plate. Sprinkle generously with flat leaf italian parsley and a little bit of parmigiano-reggiano. use the real stuff...the flavor is strong so you'll only need a little.Buen Apitito!
