What Are The Ingredients For Sicilian Flank Steak Recipe?The ingredients for Sicilian Flank Steak are: 1 pound flank steaksalt and pepper to taste 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 red bell pepper, diced small 2 tsp ground oregano 4 tsp minced garlic 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper seeds 28oz can diced tomatoes, with juice 3/4 cup sliced green olives 1 tablespoon capers, rinsed and drained 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped How Do I Make Sicilian Flank Steak?Here is how you make Sicilian Flank Steak: Trim fat, if any, from flank steak. Season to taste with salt and pepper.Heat olive oil over medium heat in large skillet until shimmering. Place flank steak in skillet for 10 minutes, turning once. Steak is not "done" yet.Remove flank steak from skillet onto plate to rest. In same skillet, saute bell pepper for 4 minutes until tender. Add oregano, garlic, and pepper flakes and allow to "bloom" for 1 minute. Add tomatoes, green olives, and capers. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until thickening is noticeable - about 5 minutes. Add flank steak and any juices on top of tomatoes. Continue simmering until steak is medium-rare (temp about 135). Remove steak from skillet and turn off heat.Stir parsley into tomato mixture.Slice steak thinly.
