What Are The Ingredients For Stuffed Pepper Recipe?The ingredients for Stuffed Pepper are: Peppers & Stuffing:1 T olive oil 1 medium onion, finely chopped 8 oz 85% lean ground beef 4 oz Italian sausage without the casing salt & pepper 4 cloves minced garlic 2 cups cooked long grain rice 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatos, drained 1 cup shredded mozarella 1/2 cup shredded parmesan 3 T fresh parsley, chopped 4 medium bell peppers, cut in half through the stem with the the stem left intact, cored & seeded For serving: 2 T olive oil salt & pepper 1 cup shredded mozarella How Do I Make Stuffed Pepper?Here is how you make Stuffed Pepper: Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat until simmering. Add onion & cook until softened & beginning to brown, about 5 minutes. Increase heat to medium high & add ground beef, sausage, 1/2 tsp of salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper. Cook, breaking meat into small pieces. When meat begins to brown (6-8 minutes) add garlic & cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Drain meat in colander for at least 1 minute. Transfer meat to a large bowl & mix in rice, tomatos, mozarella, parmesan, parsley, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper. Refigerate until well chilled, at least 20 minutes. Spoon meat mixture evenly into pepper halves. Wrap each pepper in 2 layers of plastic wrap & 1 layer of foil. Transfer to a ziplock freezer bag & freeze.FOR SERVING:Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 450'. Cut 8 pieces of foil to just cover peppers& spray underside with cooking spray. Unwrap peppers & cover filling sides with new foil. Using a skewer poke holes into foil. Place on broiler pan, filling side down. Brush peppers with olive oil & salt & pepper to taste. Bake until peppers are spotty brown, 30-35 minutes. Flip peppers filling side up, remove foil, & sprinkle with mozarella. Bake until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
