Really delicious kale side dish. Created when I needed to do something with fresh purple kale from my CSA. What Are The Ingredients For Sweet and spicy Italian-style kale Recipe?The ingredients for Sweet and spicy Italian-style kale are: -One bunch kale leaves, and stems if you like them (I used the kind with purple stems), chopped/cut-Several cloves garlic, pressed -Olive oil -Small tomato, chopped -White wine, a cup or so -Salt and red pepper flakes to taste How Do I Make Sweet and spicy Italian-style kale?Here is how you make Sweet and spicy Italian-style kale: Heat a pan with olive oil. Add the pressed or chopped garlic. Before the garlic burns, add the kale leaves, chopped or cut coarsely. Give it a few minutes to cook down, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and red pepper flakes and add the chopped tomato. If you want it really spicy, add a dried hot pepper or two. Finally, add the white wine, and allow to cook for about 7 minutes, until the kale is cooked to your liking. I like it so that it's pretty soft but there's still some color to the leaves and crunch to the stems. The tomato and wine makes a great sauce for this dish. Make sure you have great, fresh kale to avoid bitterness.
